Road-going Radical RXC testing continues

4th April 2013

The Radical RXC continues to rack up many hundreds of kilometres of testing mileage as the project moves into its road and race certification and homologation phase.

Despite the cold weather in recent weeks the RXC test chassis has continued its intensive development programme to refine handling, performance and drivability, building on the 6,000 development kilometres completed in Spain and Portugal earlier in the year.

As well as Radical's roster of test and development drivers including '88 Le Mans winner Andy Wallace, Blancpain Endurance Series racer and AUTOSPORT McLaren Young Driver of the Year winner Alexander Sims tested the RXC at Radical's official test at Brands Hatch yesterday (Wednesday) and declared himself impressed with its ability and ease of use.Next week a comprehensive crash testing programme will commence at Millbrook test and development facility for full European Small Series Type Approval.

The RXC has already passed the preliminary stages of seat and seatbelt mounting strength with flying colours, and Radical expects the RXC's race-bred chassis to display the same high level of protection as the rest of its FIA-approved SR range of cars and achieve the same level of Type Approval already held by the SR3 SL.
